Day 5/60+ hours. tomorrow is all about the website and getting the hoop cart built. Saturday is house cleaning and meeting my girlfriend (the marketing genius) for marketing and promoting my hoop biz. *sigh* I still say I need a clone so I can run around with my friends, have sex with men who will never commit to me and drink myself silly without getting fat.
The man I think I’m in love with isn’t in the same place and will probably never get there.
My playa boyfriend went bazonkers in February when he thought I rejected him.
I miss my ex sometimes so much that it is incapacitating.

Got word that I will be working in another department during the demise of my current department until the demise of the THAT department. Estimated unemployment date? Sometime mid-May. About the same time my hooping life will start kicking in…first with a hoop booth at the Alberta Art Hop and then 5 days in North Carolina for the Hoop Convergence and then I start teaching my hoopdance classes the following week. Hmmmm. Who needs time to regroup after a 22-year career is tossed away. I was hired at my TV station on May 23, 1988.
Let me bring you up to speed…I have a friend who I’ve known since 1986 and is probably one of my best friends. He and I have a history as lovers, bandmates, PDX alt music scene junkies, compadres, confidants, ingesters of too much liquor, true Oregonians. In recent weeks I’ve come to realize that I love him. So I told him. That’s just how we are and that’s how I’ve been lately…just saying what I’m feeling. He found my expression of love beautiful and touching. Of course he’s not in the same place in life right now but wants to consider the possibilities. When I’m around him, I just breathe better. I feel all the weight of my life lift from my chest. He is the only man, I feel, accepts me for exactly who I am.
But I got an email from him today asking if I’d ever consider having a three-way with him and his other lover. crap. not sure what to think. On one hand, it really made me feel good that he felt comfortable with me to ask. On the other hand, well. crap. I mean it’s fun and sexy to think about but in reality I’m just too into him to want to share him with another woman in bed. And she’s his other lover. other lover.
OK, I’ve been sick for a week! I’ve consumed chicken broth, tea and the quil twins – day & ny – for days. How the hell did my ass get bigger???? I suspect it was my ol’ frienemy almond butter. I was sick! There wasn’t a helluva a lot to eat and yes! I had a jar of almond butter. it’s good on bananas and when you’re hungry AND sick, you eat what’s available.
crap! now I gotta jog or something.
Looked at a beautiful dance studio today. Open, light, amazing energy, good vibes from the studio manager, great neighborhood. Came home and crunched numbers. *GULP* Mama’s gonna need a part-time gig in order to follow her bliss. I could break even if I had 10 students, maybe make a little money if I had 15 students. However, I could not pay my mortgage, pay my bills AND eat if I only taught classes at this beautiful studio because the primo hours are spoken for. dang! So, anyone want to hire a mid-life career changing hoopanista M-Th 6 hours a day for about $16/hour? Preferably cash? 
Got a date from one department: April 16th. Less than a month away. No savings, no job. Hmmmm. Doesn’t that seem like THE PERFECT TIME to start teaching hoopdance in JUNE?!!!**
I think I’ll have a couple more weeks in the other department but don’t have a date there yet. I love the anticipation!**
